~ Overall Submission/Formatting Info ~

With your emailed submission, please attach your manuscript and synopsis to the email. You may include a separate file for a query letter, but we prefer to have your query letter within the body of the email itself.

Important notes: We will not consider any previously published stories, so please send only new material. Additionally, the submission should not be part of a series published at another house. Only completed manuscripts will be accepted for consideration. And finally, no simultaneous submissions please.

Word Count / Genre Requirements

Currently, we will consider manuscripts (completed manuscripts only) between 5,000 and 160,000 words for any of our three imprints: Amber Quill Press (Genre Fiction), Amber Heat (Hetero Erotic Fiction), Amber Allure (GLBT Fiction). For a list of the many genres we will consider for publication, please view the menu/sidebar on the left side of the imprint pages for which you are submitting material.

Query Letter Info

The query letter should include...

  • Manuscript title
  • Series title for which you are submitting the material (if applicable)
  • Word count
  • Genres
  • Overall blurb regarding the story
  • Author bio

    Synopsis Info

    The synopsis should be a separate .RTF (Rich Text Format) document that details the manuscript form start to finish, including the full resolution. There are no specific amount of pages required, as long as the plot is conveyed in its entirety.
